ARE PRO-GOVERNMENTAL MPS BOYCOTTING PARLIAMENT ACTIVITY?

Parliament sitting started with 92 MPs. But only several MPs stayed in the hall a few minutes later the sitting had started. Now 6 MPs and 2 Ministers are sitting in the Parliament Hall. Today’s activity of Parliament resembles the one yesterday – no one asks questions or makes speeches.

MPs and journalists discuss in the corridors the rumor of the probable earthquake, which turned not to correspond to the reality.

Though expected that this week MPs would discuss the issue on sending the Armenian soldiers to Iraq, the issue wasn’t entered on the agenda. The point is that Constitutional Court conclusion is lacking. It’s the consequence of that Robert Kocharyan hasn’t appealed to CC to find if the international agreement corresponds to the Armenian Constitution.

An attempt was again made to represent bill on “Introduction of Cash Register” for the first reading, which failed last week because “People’s Deputy” didn’t partake in voting. There is apprehension that the same group will damn again passing the bill.
