ANAHIT BAKHSHYAN: ATMOSPHERE OF FEAR, HYPOCRISY, SYCOPHANCY CREATED IN ARMENIA
Support A1+!Anahit Bakhshyan, widow of former National Assembly vice-speaker Yuri Bakhshyan killed in the 1999 terrorist act in Armenian parliament, said speaking at Tuesday’s the opposition-staged rally that, in her opinion, the memorial event had to be staged by the authorities, not the opposition activists and the victims’ relatives.
She said atmosphere of fear, hypocrisy and sycophancy was created in the republic in the wake of that tragedy.
As an example she pointed out the fact that Kentron TV company had refused to air a short clip dedicated to the victims of the tragedy.
In her opinion, all that pursues a goal to make those murdered in 1999 to sink into oblivion.
