NANSEN AND ARMENIA
Support A1+!”History often shows the conflicts and more rarely it shows people who extend helping hands at those moments”, CE Acting Secretary General Walter Schwimmer said during the exposition on “Fritiof Nansen and Armenia” in Council of Europe.
It was stated at the exposition that Fritiof Nansen was the legend-man who greatly supported the Armenian refugees in the 1920’s. He traveled over the world with calls to help the Armenian people saved by a miracle from the Genocide.
During the exhibition Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Vardan Oskanyan as well spoke about the mission of Nansen.
Armenian President and Norway Prime Minister were present at opening of the exposition.
