THERE ARE POLITICAL PRISONERS IN ARMENIA

Politics

The Armenian Opposition keeps asserting that there are political prisoners in Armenia. While Armenian President Robert Kocharyan will try to find justifications in Strasburg for the administrative detentions and people arrested after the rallies, the headquarters for “Justice” Bloc has made a list in which 16 citizens – members of “Republic” Party, People’s Party of Armenia, National Democratic Union, and Communist Party of Armenia are enrolled.

Those people were arrested after their active participation in the meetings of Opposition but were taken into 2-month-long detention under various accusations.

Bloc headquarters underlines by June 22 data there are 5 political prisoners – Edgar Araqelyan, Lavrenti Kirakosyan, Martin Ghazaryan, Tigran Ter-Margaryan and Karen Margaryan.
