Politics

Communists Khoen Sargssyan, Norik Petrosyan and Sanatruk Sahakyan wrote an application to the plenum of central committee of Communist Party on leaving the leadership. The prominent figures of Communist Party explain their decision that the party elite is corrupted, so they don’t want to be in the same party with such a party elite that demands $ 2000 to enroll its active secretary in the pre-election list of the parliamentary elections.

Norik Petrosyan is hurt that before the 2nd phase of the presidential elections in 2003 the head of Communist Party announced he didn’t second any of candidates whereas 5 days before a decision had been made to back up the Opposition candidate.

He added their activity didn’t mean a split, they didn’t change their stance on ideology of socialism and communism, and just a discrepancy arose.

By the way, Communists announced Authorities sanctioned May 1 meeting purposely and “Haylur” introduced the rally of 200 people as 2000 to show Jaskernia that no obstacles are put in the way of Opposition Communist. In fact it was just a show.

Communists aren’t going to enter any other party in Opposition, People’s Party of Armenia in particular. They will establish a new party if need be.
