The rally did take place despite Yerevan municipality statement that it hasn’t authorised it because of some information about expected provocations and possible threat to people’s lives.

There were as many people as always.

Welcoming the rally participants, Republic party leader Aram Sargssyan said it was a great victory that people had gathered for the rally despite warning given by the municipality.

Republic party, Communist Party and People Party leaders spoke at the rally. Once again it was spoken about the republic president’s illegitimacy.

Speaking on negotiations between Armenian and Azeri foreign ministers to be conducted from June 14 to 16, Republic party leader Aram Sargssyan said the talks would be thorny. In his opinion, it was Robert Kocharyan who weakened Armenia’s position, because, as a rule, “pressure is being put only on a weak president”.
