ARMENIA SEEKING U.S. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

State structures and organizations are running a campaign to obtain 450 million USD from the U.S. government. The financial assistance will be given to a number of countries as part of Millennium Challenges program.

16 countries of the program 75 aspirants have been chosen preliminarily. Armenia is among them. It has been taken into account how much governing system has accomplished in the applicant countries.

A few programs must be worked out and submitted for the U.S. government consideration.

The programs will be focused on education, public health, social security and agriculture spheres. Poverty elimination will be also in focus.
