RAFIK ARZUMANYAN TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MEDIA OUTLETS

Politics

Opponents of Rafik Arzumanyan, governor of Georgian province of Ninotsminda, have accused him of “anti-Georgian stance”. They vented their anger on Arzumanyan through newspapers blaming him for ties with Armenia.

The province governor’s main achievement was that he had managed to provide the province’s residents with round-the-clock power supply.

A-Info news agency reported Wednesday Arzumanyan intended to sue the media outlets for libelous statements. “I’m not anti-Georgian. Otherwise I couldn’t remain in office for 12 years. Those throwing stones at me have either anti-Armenian or anti-Georgian stance. The only thing they want is to take posts”, he said.
