WILL OPPOSITION-AUTHORITIES DIALOGUE TAKE PLACE?
Support A1+!The political consulting held by Parliament Speaker Arthur Banghdasaryan lasted for 2 hours. At the end of the consulting it was clear that the political powers in Parliament made certain preliminary arrangements for the political negotiations.
ARF leader Levon Mkrtchyan announced Coalition will represent Robert Kocharyan in the negotiations.
Coalition parties will discuss Opposition demand-suggestions made at previous consulting tomorrow at their party sittings.
In a day 2 members of each party will clarify at Coalition sitting the stance towards Opposition suggestions. The next meeting will take place on May 13 and it will be decided finally whether to continue the talks or not.
If the issue is settled the negotiation agenda will be worked and the talks will start.
Opposition announced it displayed a good will entering into the dialogue with Coalition. But Opposition says Coalition must take a step, too, to promptly release the arrested representatives of Opposition, to stop the political pursuits and not to hinder the rallies.
If the proper actions for that purpose aren’t taken by May 13, Opposition will think over expediency to continue the political negotiations.
Coalition agreed to discuss the agenda suggested by Opposition – to find ways to overcome the political crisis arisen after the presidential elections in 2003.
