Support A1+!The meeting of Armenian and Azeri Presidents in Warsaw lasted for 1,5 hours. At the beginning OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs were present. Then the meeting continued in private with participation of 2 presidents only.
Though the Presidents didn’t answer the questions of journalists after the negotiations, they made statements.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev stated the discussion passed in the constructive atmosphere. “After the meeting in December the visit of Co-Chairs and the meetings of Foreign Affairs Ministers can be called as continuation of the negotiation process. This proves that both parts want to continue the talks. I do hope that the negotiations in the future will pass upon the constructive bases, too. Azerbaijan wishes to settle the conflict and the intention of the Armenian side as well is notable”.
President Robert Kocharyan informed about the meeting of FM Ministers expected this May. “Armenia is interested in more active talks and the Presidents must use any chances for negotiations. I am now pleased with the character and atmosphere of the negotiations. But there aren’t yet bases to be proud”.
