Support A1+!”National Unity” Party leader Artashes Geghamyan described the further actions of Opposition this way. Geghamyan was asked why he hadn’t taken part in the joint press conference of “Justice” Bloc the day before and held a separate one. He said his party acted in correspondence with Opposition.
NU head joined all the appraisals and standpoints voiced by People’s Party leader Stepan Demirchyan.
Geghamyan announced that Robert Kocharyan and Serj Sargssyan are responsible for the political situation in Armenia and not the political parties. “We deal with anti-national and treacherous Authorities who are able to talk with their own people from behind the barbed wires, to beat up the peaceful protestors by truncheons”, he said.
Geghamyan said after April 13 events Opposition didn’t give up. Opposition figures are ready to continue fighting up to the end. He didn’t say what methods exactly will be used for that purpose since the situation in the state is changeable so the ways of Opposition struggle will be variable, too.
Being Armenia’s representative in PACE, Artashes Geghamyan is going to cause the European structures to be informed about the real developments in Armenia. He is sure Opposition MP Shavarsh Kocharyan aims to do the same, too.
As to the rumors saying Artashes Geghamyan went underground after the rally had been dispelled, they hurt Geghamyan much.
He says his house has been searched in his presence.
