EVEN NATO COULDN’T GUARANTEE SAFETY

Politics

Assembly of the Armenians in Europe condemned murder of the 26-year-old Armenian officer in Budapest.

Assembly says that the horrible crime during NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” program indicates of the prevailing anti-Armenian mood in Azerbaijan which is abetted by the official Baku aimed at hiding its inability to find political solutions to Karabakhi conflict.

The statement also remands about “the slaughter of Armenians” in Sumgait in 1988, the massacres of Baku and Kirovabad in 1990, which took place long before the Karabakhi war.

”Despite the joint efforts of the Armenians in Diaspora and Armenia to find peaceful solutions to the conflict and the resourceful approach, despite the wish of the international public to mostly satisfy the demands of the Azerbaijani part, this barbarous act of the Azeri officer is an extra proof that the Armenian people can’t safely exist near the Azerbaijani power. Even a mightiest military organization like NATO couldn’t guarantee security of the Armenian officer”, the statement says.
