GURGEN EGHIAZARYAN COMMENTS ON GEORGIAN SYNDROME
Support A1+!Former MP Gurgen Eghiazaryan held a press conference in Azdak Club. He analyzed “Georgian Syndrome and the Expectations in Transcaucasus”.
”Our neighbor has never behaved like a good neighbor”, former Deputy Minister of National Security started his comments on Georgia this way.
Why? According to him, that country has problems, which it tries to solve harmful to Armenia. ”4 years ago the Authorities of Georgia acted cynically to move Baghra customs station to Sadakhlo. That center was passing through Javakhk and was the shortest way to lead us to the sea. It provided job places in Akhalkalak”, Eghiazaryan explained.
Eghiazaryan had raised the above issue to the Georgians in London. ”The Georgian MPs vowed to settle the problem as soon as they arrived in Georgia. No step has been taken for the time being”, Mr Eghiazaryan said.
”The sad point is that Shevardnadze’s Authorities found fault with the Opposition leaders for that Jvania’s mother and Burzhanadze’s father are Armenians. It turns to be a bad thing to be an Armenian”, Eghiazaryan said introducing the other side of the Georgian syndrome. He conditioned that fact by the policy of the former president Shevardnadze.
”Both the Georgians and the Armenians have the same biography in the elections. During the elections of the two countries figures were drawn, election bribes circulated. But the Opposition there rebelled because of only false results”, Eghiazaryan said.
”Shevardnadze faced these in reply to his clannish economy. I see the social demand for Robert Kocharyan’s resignation for the same clannish reasons”, Gurgen Eghiazaryan thinks.
