PARUYR HAYRIKYAN IS DISCONTENTED

USD Chair Paruyr Hayrikyan again met journalists. This time the meeting topic was over language, strategic for Hayrikyan.

Mr Hayrikyan talked about the passports of the citizens of Armenia. In all of them is written KÏÏ /Check-point in Russian/ whereas in the passports of Georgia’s citizens is written GEORGIA in English.

”Armenian is our state language and not Russian”, he says.

According to him, it is done on purpose because if Armenia were powerful, it wouldn’t depend on Russia. He also said that 1,5-2 million Armenians in Russia don’t live properly. They are hostages there.

”In the state establishments people address each other in Russian, -ovich, looking like Russian monkeys. We will lose everything if we fall for it. We all should be ashamed of it”, Hayrikyan says.

Hayrikyan also spoke over the problem of USD central office. Court has postponed the case consideration for a week.

By his word, the National Academy turned into a tool for the Authorities. He commented on the situation over the building for the Language Institute, adding that Robert Kocharyan doesn’t need the language.
