Support A1+!Armenian legislators discussed the motion on amendments to Value Added Tax Law at today’s session.
The motion proposes to exempt from VAT payment those attending youth and art study centers. The proposal was prompted by the fact that the number of talented children is dwindling because of fees.
A formal proposal on exemption of World War II 11,300 veterans, 8,350 of which are the disabled, from state tax payment was already discussed at the session. Lawmakers made positive decision on the issue.
MPs postponed decision on another motion on tax exemption of soldiers perished in Karabakh war for 15 days saying the government is not sure it can afford to solve the issue because of lack of due amount of money.
MP Viktor Dallakyan put forward a proposal on making two amendments to Law on Offenses: the first specified charge for any restriction of freedom of information, the second – for illegal trade in erotic books and videotapes. The motion is under consideration.
