Support A1+!The issue on recognition of the credentials of the Armenian MPs wasn’t discussed in CE, so powers of Armenia are automatically recognised there.
”I don’t think that all the problems were solved by recognising the credentials. A new process began”, Tigran Torosyan, who was the head of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to PACE full session, says. “The new process” in his evaluation refers to practical collaboration with CE and not the further study of the issue for power recognition.
Delegation member Shavarsh Kocharyan is harsher on that point: ”Some think if the credentials were recognised, we may do anything we want within 4 years and to remain in that structure. It’s not so”.
He is sure recognition of Armenia’s powers has been postponed till January in CE. He thinks the Europeans expect for the presidential elections in Azerbaijan to end.
”January might be crucial for both the national interests and Karabakhi conflict. I call the Authorities to take practical steps instead of imitation, so that I will be able to say – “The elections were disgracing, but look at the progress now!” Will the Authorities give such a chance to the people and Opposition or not? ”, Kocharyan says.
