OSCE YEREVAN OFFICE WON HIGH MARK FROM U.S.
Support A1+!U.S. expressed satisfaction at OSCE mission’s work in Yerevan calling it “effective” and especially stressing “very fruitful efforts in supporting reforms and strengthening polling process basis in Armenia”.
In his statement made on May 29 at the OSCE Standing Council in Vienna, the head of the U.S. mission Duglas Davidson commented on the OSCE Yerevan office head, ambassador Roy Reeve’s report.
Speaking on recent Armenian parliamentary elections, Davidson said the Yerevan office deserves a high mark for efficient running international group involved in staging elections as well as for its role in enhancement of list-making procedure and timely provision of transparent ballot boxes to polling stations.
He also emphasised the attention the office pays to military and security issues, its efforts in supporting global war against terrorism and economic aspect of its activity directed against money laundry.
Davidson expressed his gratitude to the office and its partners for impressive campaign focused on attracting public attention to human right problems.
