TRANSPORT MINISTER HELD A PRESS CONFERENCE

Today Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Manukyan held a press conference to inform that Armenia has become the member of “European Conference of Transport Ministers” Organisation.

“There can be no economical development of a country without transport, and integration into such an authoritative organisation is like being a member of World Trade Organisation”, he says.

At April 22-24 sitting of the organisation in Brussels Armenia was granted the status of a full member. According to Manukyan, Armenia had been trying to become the member of that organisation since 1998, but Turkey and Azerbaijan blocked it.

They agreed to the membership of our country with reserve - railway blockade won’t be destroyed.
