PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS MINUS ONE CANDIDATE
Support A1+!One of the divisional election committees has refused to register Hayk Babukhanyan, Vice-Chair of Constitutional Right Union, as a candidate, reasoning that Babukhanyan has introduced to the committee a false paper on property and hid a part of his property, a 2-room flat where 6 people reside.
To prove he is pursued politically, Babukhanyan produced documents saying he is not an owner or a co-owner of the flat and his father is the possessor of the flat.
“I don’t hide where I reside, so it is wrong to speak about it. Wherever I go, I present the documents saying I reside in that flat”, Babukhanyan says.
To protect his rights, he is going to appeal to both Court and CEC. The members of Republican Party, National Unity, National Democratic Union are the registered rivals of Babukhanyan in N 5 election centre in Qanaqer-Zeytun Commune.
By the way, registration of Arshak Sadoyan was first rejected, too. But the problem was solved and he will fight for being re-elected. Babukhanyan is sure Authorities know best about property, MPs or high rankers possess. They just jeer at less provided for MPs, Babukhanyan says.
