STEPAN DEMIRCHYAN’S SUIT HEARING CONTINUING
Support A1+!At today’s hearing, Stepan Demirchyan’s attorney Ashot Sargssyan answered the questions the Central Election Commission representative Tigran Mukuchyan put to him.
Answering the question whether the OSCE observation mission opinion can be taken as “a proven fact”, Sargssyan said he took the OSCE observers’ statement as a proven fact, because “the mission included a large number of observers and was unbiased”.
“And is the CIS observers conclusion a proven fact?”, asked Tigran Mukuchyan.
“It was a 26-member mission. If the CIS observers refutes their OSCE colleagues’ statement, I’d take their opinion as a proven fact”, Sargssyan said.
Then, Tigran Mukuchyan asked what the difference between propaganda and opinion expression. Sargssyan answered: “It isn’t prohibited to exchange opinions with your friends, but to voice views on Public television or other media outlets is a real propaganda”.
What the complainant’s accusation that state-run enterprises employees were brought to the rally supporting current president compulsorily is grounded on, Mukuchyan asked.
Sargssyan invoked the OSCE statement as well as their local colleagues’ conclusion.
