DEMIRCHYAN SUIT HEARING TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW

Stepan Demirchyan’s suit hearing continued today. Complainant’s attorney Victor Dallakyan spoke before the court saying the election has been held amid innumerable violations of the law. Central Election Commission, polling stations commissions and the police have been overwhelmingly involved in well-organised by the authorities illegalities, he said.

Dallakyan paid special attention to mass media activity during election campaigning saying “media outlets committed information terror against Stepan Demirchyan and put pressure on public opinion”.

Plaintiff’s another attorney Ashot Sargssyan presented many facts of election irregularities in his detailed report.

The report contained evidence of all kinds of illegalities including intimidation, violence and ballot boxes stuffing. Sargssyan accused polling stations commissions of turning a blind eye to illegalities and ignoring complaints.

The court is to hold the next session on Sunday.
