AUTHORITIES TRYING TO INTIMIDATE PEOPLE
Support A1+!“Authorities once again perpetrated outrage against population”, Armenian People Party leader and presidential candidate Stepan Demirchyan said upon learning that a group of young persons rushed to Armenia’s village of Tairov in a few jeeps, then threatened and dispersed people gathered for meeting with the candidate.
Villagers say one of the persons in jeeps was Shmais brother of the MP who represents the village in National Assembly.
“They use every means to retain power. Nowadays, authorities established close ties with criminals and became criminal themselves”, Demirchyan says.
Our correspondent met with the above mentioned Shmais who answering the question about his involvement in today’s incident said he possesses no jeep.
Any way, thanks to the officials’ efforts, the candidate managed to meet only with 400 most brave residents of the province.
Parakar village residents confessed they’d been threatened. People complained not only about social insecurity but also moral depression. They say they suffer unemployment and complete lack of justice.
Stepan Demirchyan urged the intimidated people to go to polling stations to vote without any hesitation.
