STATEMENT OF “DEFENCE OF LIBERATED TERRITORIES”
Support A1+!Secretary office of “Defence of Liberated Territories” social initiative released a statement today
The flat of Jirayr Sefilyan, the Commander of Shushi battalion at war and the co-ordinator of “Defence of Liberated Territories” social initiative was seized back under the instructions of Karabaghi president Arkadi Ghukassyan in Stepanakert. He was given the apartment by Defence Army of Karabagh in 1997.
This happened after the mass arrests of freedom fighters at the end of the year in Yerevan. The main target of arrests were the volunteers, criticising Authorities because of the issue just over the liberated territories. The assistant of Jirayr Sefilyan was among them.
If the fact that Sefilyan’s car has been pursued for the 3-rd week, is added to the above said, one can suppose that political terror action since December 30 is directed against him, too .
It is to be said that Jirayr Sefilyan in person or the volunteers, united under his initiative, have appeared with criticism to Kocharyan’s policy regarding issues over Karabaghi or Armenian–Turkish relations.
Calling it as traitorous, Sefilyan is one of the figures who unmasks the false attitude of the present Authorities to the nation, identifying them with the “former ones”.
