KASIANOV’S VISIT MAY PUT AN END TO PROCESS FOR TRANSFERRING ARMENIAN ENTERPRISES TO RUSSIA

The delegation, headed by Russian PM Mikhail Kasianov, visited Armenia. Armenian PM Andranik Margaryan met his colleague in “Zvartnots” Airport.

The visit aims to sign the agreement of “property for debt” formulae. Before Kasianov’s visit, Russia’s Putin announced Kasianov’s visit must put an end to the process of transferring Armenian enterprises to Russia for debt .

It is planned that Hrazdan’s Thermoelectric Power Station, “Mars” Factory, Scientific-Research Enterprise of Mathematical Machines and Institute for Science of Materials will be transferred to Russia for a debt of about 100 million $. Tomorrow Kasianov and Margaryan will sign several contracts.

Irina Kasianova, Mikhail Kasianov’s wife, accompanies him in Armenia. Susanna Margaryan, Andranik Margaryan’s wife will in her turn accompany Mrs Kasianova. A separate program – visit to Garni - is envisaged for women.
