ARTAK SAHRADYAN WELCOMES CONSTITUTIONAL COURT DECISION
Support A1+!CEC Chair Artak Sahradyan regards right the Constitutional Court decision on election lists made yesterday . As known, under the changes made to the Election Law Code in Summer it was fixed election lists can’t be changed on the 2 last days. But yesterday Constitutional Court made a decision through which the changes lost their validity and were considered as restricting ones the human rights
Sahradyan agrees to that temporary restriction of changes in election lists is an infringement of human rights . A voter is to have the right to dispute his suffrage even the election day and take part in the election.
Robert Kocharyan signed the changes in the Election Law Code, restricting the human rights. But later he had to appeal to the Constitutional Court to solve the issue.
Today Sahradyan said the list issue was reviewed at the demand-request of European structures. He also assures they will control the list making process and will do their best in order that the lists may not have any influence upon the election process .
