PROTEST ACTION IN FRONT OF OSCE MISSION BUILDING IN BAKU

Politics

The Azeri Organisation for Karabakh Liberation launched a protest action in front of the OSCE mission building in Baku against Nagorno-Karabakhi Armenian community’s head election scheduled for August 11. The piquet was held under the banners “Put an end to the OSCE and EU inefficient activity” and “Put an end to Armenian terrorism”. The organisation leader Akif Naghi says the international organisations take no steps for Karabakhi problem settlement. In his opinion, continuing occupation, imminent elections, the idea of territory exchanging – all this are the consequences of inefficient activity of the OSCE Minsk group, the EU and other international organisations. Indifference to violation of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and non-recognition of Armenia as an aggressor led to the fact that elections are planned in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Protesters urged international organisations to prevent Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh from electing its head.

Baku OSCE Office administration said it has been out of touch with today’s piquet, as at that time it was being participated in round table held by the organisation.
