PROGRESSIVE YOUTH PARTY TO SUPPORT KOCHARYAN

The issue on whether to support Robert Kocharyan’s candidacy in upcoming presidential elections or not has also split Armenian youth.

Progressive Youth Party, which has been engaged in cultural activity about 1,5 year, now steps into the political field by its statement saying it’ll support solely Robert Kocharyan. “We even don’t think about cooperation with any opposition structure”, the party leader Tigran Ulikhanyan said.

The party used to organise various cultural events assembling a lot of people and now it reckons on the same effect.

The party came up with the initiative to create law enforcement extra groups saying the groups’ members will remove fastened at forbidden places posters. Such statements prompt concern about how far they can go defending Kocharyan.
