TERROR AGAINST FREE SPEECH

Politics

“In far-away America our day has been starting and finishing by news from Armenia.

Man cannot live by bread alone…

We, living in Los Angeles, are deeply concerned about A1+ and Noyan Tapan TV companies’ fate.

It’s out of doubt that Mr. President, beginning his election campaign, takes drastic actions to isolate the truly unbiased media outlets from information field.

The fact that A1+ and Noyan Tapan are closed on direct initiative and will of the President of the Republic is obvious and irrefutable even to a child. Kocharyan takes anti-national step and sentences free speech to death. If this anti-national decision against A1+ and Noyan Tapan is completely succeeds it’ll be a traitorous strike in the back of our country and prevent it from accomplishing its formation. Moreover, we consider this decision as terror against free speech.

And worst of all is that our obedient and spiritually enslaved our compatriots-journalists became participants of this antidemocratic transaction.

Indeed, it’s a sin and a shame.

We, who deal with American democracy and freedom of speech, demand to stop this senseless “game”, which jeopardise the nation’s fate and restore A1+ and Noyan Tapan right without delay.

Hands off A1+ and Noyan Tapan - legitimate children of Independent Armenia!

Terror against them is the terror and encroachment on independence of all Armenian people.

We, the Diaspora’s journalists, assure of our readiness to keep struggling for A1+ and Noyan Tapan rights.”
