Edmon Marukyan: This project is trying to stop the process of the Prime Minister's not being elected (video)
Edmon Marukyan, a member of the Yelk (Way out) faction, explained in his speech the nature of the draft law on Amending the RA Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly. "It has set itself a task in case of Prime Minister's resignation, if he was not elected twice, the National Assembly should be dissolved by law, and this draft amendment is made that if the session does not take place for any reason, the chairman will announce the session interrupted and by this an attempt will be made to suspend the process of the election of the Prime Minister as a result of which the parliament should be deprived by the right," he said. This project does not solve the problem, because the constitutional deadlines are clear, the MP adds. "The Constitution says that within 14 days, if the parliament does not elect a prime minister, the parliament will be released by law." Edmon Marukyan informed that the Yelk faction will vote against this project.
