Deputy Minister of Defense: supply of armament with $ 200 million completed
Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia David Pakhchanyan stated at the March 28 press conference that the supply of armament from Russia to the Armed Forces of Armenia worth $ 200 million has been completed. Earlier, in October 2017, Armenia's Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan announced that the supply of armament from Russia to the Armed Forces of Armenia worth $ 200 million will be completed by 2018. Let us remind that the agreement on concessionary export credit from Russia for the sum of $ 200 million was signed in 2015. 18 separate contracts have been signed within the framework of the loan. The Armenian side may pay up to 90% of the loan amount provided for in each separate agreement. The loan is provided in US Dollars and purchases are made directly from Russian rubles, without intermediaries.
