The solar station "Talin-1" is opened
Today, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan attended the opening ceremony of the largest solar power plant in Armenia, Talin 1, in Aragatsotn region. This unique project with its production capacity and capabilities is of great importance in the domain of solar energy, ecology and economic development of Armenia. The project was funded by the Armenian Investigative Group (Eduard Marutyan, Araik Karapetyan, Zaven Sargsyan, Hayk Chobanyan) and co-funded by the German-Armenian Fund and KFW Bank within the framework of the Renewable Energy Support program. The program was implemented by Solar Production Company. The design and construction of the power plant has been done by the Arpi Solar company. After the ceremony, the Prime Minister had a private talk with the General Secretary of the International Energy Charter Federation Urban Rusnak. The head of government underlined that the energy sector is one of the fastest growing branches of economy in our country, and the government attaches importance to the diversification of this domain by implementing different projects. For his part, Urban Russia welcomed the Government's steps in terms of energy security.
