Ombudsman received the delegation of the CE General Secretariat
RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan today received the General Secretary of delegation of the Council of Europe. During the meeting the developments in the fulfillment of Armenia's obligations after the visit of the Group of Reporters on Democracy Issues of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to Armenia in July 2015 were discussed. Numerous issues related to bilateral cooperation and the priorities of human rights protection in Armenia were discussed. Arman Tatoyan presented the new functions according to the constitutional law "On Human Rights Defender" and the issues that the stuff can face, as well as cooperation with the civil society. At the end of the meeting the sides expressed their readiness to strengthen and expand the effective cooperation.
