Filmmaker Harutyun Khachatryan, who intends to run for President of the Union of Cinematographers, presented his program on October 4. The program is titled "Finally, the door to the Cinema House should be opened." Harutyun Khachatryan is convinced that the elections will be held in a civilized atmosphere. “If tomorrow some other candidate can do more than I can do, I'll stand next to him. For example, now my friend's son, Vahe Gevorgyants, who is a very good director, is sitting here. Should he have as much connections and experience as I do ... I think cinematographers need my experience,” Mr. Khachatryan said today. Harutyun Khachatryan stepped down as the Director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) in September.
