Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov wins bronze at World Boxing Championships

Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov (64kg) has won bronze at the World Boxing Championships hosted by the city of Hamburg, Germany. In the semi-finals, Armenian boxer lost to Andy Cruz Gómez of Cuba and was unable to qualify for the finals. Bachkov secured a bronze medal in the 1/4 finals after taking a 4-1 victory over Chinzorig Baatarsukh of Mongolia. In the final round, Andy Cruz Gómez will face Ikboljon Kholdarov of Uzbekistan.
