If you were impartial, you would dismiss the case - Pavlik Manukyan to judge
“If you were impartial, you would now bang your fist on the table and dismiss the case,” Sasna Dzrer group member Pavlik Manukyan told the judge today. “Everything in its time,” the judge said. Today, the lawyers motioned for the judge's recusal for his biased attitude and expressed their concerns over the judge's actions saying he does not protect their rights and conducts sittings without the defendants and lawyers. Lawyer Lusine Sahakyan said that Deputy Chief of Yerevan Police Valery Osipyan was in the courtroom but not as a witness or aggrieved party. “He stands near the lawyers and eavesdrops our conversation while we are discussing our tactics.” The judge has retired to the consultation room.
