Armenian parliament voted on Tuesday 77 to 3 to pass a government proposal on providing additional water intake of 100 million cum water from Lake Sevan. Only the lawmakers representing the Yelk alliance voted against the measure. Before the voting, Artak Zeynalyan from the Yelk faction said the bill was submitted in violation with laws. “There is no need to say that it aims to help farmers. We are going to vote against the bill and I call on my colleagues to follow suit or help us dispute the issue in the Constitutional Court,” he said.
