One year after the seizure of the Erebuni police regiment, the trial of 14 members of “Sasna Dzrer” group is kicking off. Before the launch of the first court hearing in Erebuni court, the supporters of the group marched from Liberty square to the court. “It is the first court hearing of Sasna Dzrer, which is symbolic and we wanted to highlight that symbolic meaning with a march to remind the regime that Sasna Dzrer have many supporters outside,” representative of the Founding Parliament Alek Yenigomshyan told “A1+”. Member of the Founding Parliament doesn’t expect fair trial. But he claims that trials are a good chance for Sasna Dzrer group members to present the aim of seizure of the police regiment and issues, which they tried to solve. “In case of Sasna Dzrer, expecting fair trial will be naïve. As long as this regime rules our country, the final decision will be political according to the arbitrariness of the head of the regime,” said Alek Yenigomshyan. Civil activist Vardges Gaspari is also in Liberty Square holding the poster of Arthur Sargsyan, the man, who took bread to Sasna Dzrer. He cannot understand the viewpoints of those, who criticize Sasna Dzrer, in case when those people simply were against impunity. “In the case when peaceful protest actions against the crimes were oppressed in a cynical way, in particular the actions of pre-parliament outside the Closed Market, and it developed to the condition that criminal elements threatened to stab the protesters,” reminds Vardges Gaspari. Sasna Dzrer group seized Erebuni police regiment on July 17, 2016, early in the morning. Besides the resignation of Serzh Sargsyan and release of the political prisoners, Sasna Dzrer put forward one more demand. Gaspari claims that they reached that demand. “The main thing was the process of surrender of territories, which was somehow postponed.” Armenak Kyureghyan was also taking part in the march of supporters of Sasna Dzrer. He is father of member of the group Areg Kyureghyan. Father, who is harrying to the trial of his son, has no expectation of fair trial. “The judicial system is wholly corrupted and fulfils an order,” he told “A1+”. According to Kyureghyan, trials of political importance proceed out of legal logic and that is the ground to pessimism. The supporters of Sasna Dzrer reached to Erebuni court, where the trial of 14 members kicked off.
