Varhran Baghdasdryan says he has not studied carefully concerning SAS group (video)
Head of the parliamentary group of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) today said he had not studied carefully the scandalous recordings revealing fats about the election headquarters of Artak Sargsyan, a famous businessman affiliated with the HHK who is best known as the owner of the SAS Group Ltd. It becomes obvious from the recordings that members of Sargsyan’s headquarters had the employees of the SAS group provide lists of citizens who would vote for the HHK in the April 2 parliamentary elections in Armenia. Names of definite people are given in the recordings, who drew up lists of their relatives, freinds and acquaintances who pledged support for the HHK in the April 2 vote. “First of all we should find out whether the candidate was aware of the meeting or not,” head of the HHK faction Varhran Baghdasdryan said, adding that there are no differences in the HHK. This he said in reply to statement of Aram Manukyan, Secretary of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction in the National Assembly, who said on Friday that there are differences in the HHK. At the same time, Varhran Baghdasdryan excluded the existence of such recordings in his case. “If you see something like that, I shall make a public apology. The authorities do collected compromising material, especially with respect to their teammates,” he added.
