“Border settlements should differ from others,” the re-elected Chairman of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Gagik Tsarukyan, said in Berd town on Tuesday. He assured the locals that he would create those opportunities for them. “A person needs attention. You must give advantages to residents of border communities. I am not making empty statements here. I have been to Tavush marz where some bought grapes for 80 drams, while Mr Tsarukyan bought for 150 drams, considering the fact that it [Tavush] is a border region. So, I am not saying empty words here,” Gagik Tsarukyan said addressing residents of Berd. He noted that the economic crisis [in Armenia] will deepen, emigration, unemployment and poverty rates will increase unless the 15 provisions proposed by his alliance were met. Those 15 points refer all areas, starting from interest rates to salaries,” Tsarukyan stressed.
