They wanted us to resign but we refused to do it. Vahram Baghdasaryan then urged his fellow colleagues to vote for the ‘realistic budget.’ Eduard Sharmazanov, Vice-Speaker of the National Asembly, also addressed the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), saying. “If you are elected in the next elections, do present an alternative budget project otherwise you criticism has no value. This is a realistic and promising budget. I am sure that we shall have good conditions to execute the budget. In his closing speech, Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan noted that the ‘budget is not unlimited’ and cannot address all problems at once. He added that when doing investments in Armenia international organizations pay attention to the government policy to see whether it is prudent or not. “Our program is prudent,” he added. After his speech, Eduard Sharmazanov said that the budget discussions are interrupted for four days. “Lawmakers and factions can submit their proposals within 24 hours," he added.
