Alliance Party to send 160 proxies to Gyumri to monitor local elections

Election oversight headquarters of the Alliance Party held its first sitting in Gyumri city on September 20. The sitting was chaired by Tigran Urikhanyan, Leader of the Alliance Party, who familiarized their proxies with the process of preparations and the next steps. The meeting participants also discussed issues related to suppression and election monitoring mechanisms, cooperation with other opposition parties, independent monitoring organizations, media during vote counting and tabulation. The party is going to send 160 proxies to Gyumri to monitor the entire process of the local elections, monitor the tabulation process, electoral dispute resolution, and the publication of final results. Elections in Gyumri are slated for October 2.
