Republican: “That’s better that new premier hasn’t dealt with this system” (video)
We experience criminalization of the election process, which have already become a tradition, during both the preparation and the very process, thinks ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan, “To say, the whole process of the constitutional referendum brought a lot of garbage and additionally showed that our authorities and the mechanism of organizing the elections are becoming more and more defective.” She says that the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) also must be held accountable for the incident in Etchmiadzin ahead of the local elections. “Why are the HHK candidates always engaged in criminal processes in different places among well-known people and hereditary families,” the ethnographer poses a question. Republican Lernik Aleksanyan notes that the local election cannot but be political and the Republican Party never refrains from responsibility. The NA lawmaker says it isn’t important for the Republican Party who becomes a community head. “All the same, they must do what they say, mustn’t they?” opposed Hranush Kharatyan. Republican Lernik Aleksanyan also touched upon the appointment of newly appointed PM Karen Karapetyan and the remark that he isn’t a Republican. “That’s better that he isn’t a Republican, and hasn’t dealt with the system, which is also criticized,” he said. In reply to the question whether HHK is a dirty party, Lernik Aleksanyan noted that provocative things shouldn’t be said. And the party has had many achievements. The newly appointed PM, according to Lernik Aleksanyan, has little to do with both positive and negative in our country, but he has a positive image.
