Serzh Sargsyan exptends condolences to Vladimir Putin over boating accident in Russia
Serzh Sargsyan has sent a letter of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with yesterday’s tragedy that claimed the lives of children. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his sympathy and support to the families of the victims, and wished speedy recovery to the injured. At least 13 children and an adult are reported to have died after boats capsized in stormy weather on a lake in the northwest of Russia. Local media reports said around 50 people, mostly children aged 12 to 15, were on the boat trip. It is thought that two of three boats being used for the outing on Syamorzero lake in the Republic of Karelia had capsized. The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, tweeted that initial information indicated that the children who died were from the capital.
