Residents of Kond have been homeless for 10 years: action (video)
This Thursday didn’t differ from the previous ones for one part of Kond residents. The residents, who have been homeless for 10 years, demand from the Government to provide them with flats, which they were deprived of for state needs. “In 2010 you will be in your houses, if not, come and beat us! We were told in this way,” noted Hasmik Aleksanyan. “Kond district is considered to be the heart of Yerevan. But we have been deceived and they don’t receive us,” said Emma Barseghyan. In spite of their complaints during these years, they haven’t been given clear answer by the relevant structures, “We are demanding our flats from the leadership. Those houses were pulled down according to the decision of the Government,” highlighted former resident of Kond Anahit Hovhannisyan. Watch the video for details!
