Three shells hit an Iranian village

Earlier today, the Iranian foreign ministry expressed grave concern about the exacerbation of disputes over Nagorno-Karabakh region, and invited Baku and Yerevan to self-restraint and halt in bloody clashes, informs Farsnews.com "While the region is witnessing the extremist groups' destructive acts and needs tranquility and stability, receiving worrying news about exacerbating conflicts in Karabakh region between Azerbaijan and Armenia has caused grave concerns in the Islamic Republic of Iran," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said on Sunday. "We invite both our Northern neighbors to self-restraint and avoidance of any measure which makes the situation more difficult and advise them to stop clashes immediately and make their best efforts to restore tranquility and settle the differences peacefully within the framework of peace groups and the UN," he added. Besides Farsnews reports, three mortar shells fired during clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh dispute hit a village in Iran's Northwestern province of East Azarbaijan, local officials announced on Sunday.
