Grants, which must be exempted from VAT
Government today approved the draft on making amendments in the RA law on “Value added tax”. According to the draft, deals and operations implemented within the frames of the subsidies, subventions and grant projects will be exempted from value added tax, if the abovementioned projects receive the positive conclusion of the professional committee formed by the Government. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan thinks that there are really grants, which must be exempted from the VAT, “It will be a right decision, as in another case those grants will not be implemented in Armenia. Professional council must be established, as well as the opinion of the State Revenue Committee should be taken into consideration.”
