Harutyun Barseghyan begins with victory
Armenian chess player Harutyun Barseghyan won the first chess game in the 30th Cannes Chess Festival. During the first round our 18-year-old compatriot defeated French Albert Tomasi. During today’s second round Harutyun Barseghyan will face French Grandmaster Adrien Demuth. 110 chess players are taking part in the festival this year. They will play 9 rounds in Swiss system to decide the winner, who will be awarded EUR 2200.
