Hristo Stoichkov was unable to restrain his tears
Today Bulgaria bid farewell to football legend Trifon Ivanov, who died of a heart attack on February 13. The farewell procession was attended by the teammates of the former defender of the Bulgarian national team who participated in the 1994 World Cup and won bronze medals. World famous Bulgarian striker Hristo Stoichkov was particularly saddened by the death Trifon Ivanov. Last year, he arrived in Armenia to participate in a match devoted to Khoren Hovhannisyan’s 60th anniversary. According to Bulgarian media, the best football player in Europe for 1994 could hardly restrain his tears.
