Chess: Vladimir Hakobyan comes 13th at Qatar Masters Open, receives $1200
Armenian Grandmaster Vladimir Hakobyan scored 6 points of the possible 9 and came 13th at the final round of the Qatar Masters Open 2015. He will receive a prize in the amount of $1200. Reigning World Champion and world number one Magnus Carlsen won the tournament. Together with Chinese GM Yu Yanni, Carlsen scored 7 points. Carlsen took a 2:0 victory over the Chinese chess player in the rapid tiebreak. In addition to the main award, Carlsen also received $27 000.
