Among 14 representatives from Armenia Armenian Grandmaster Robert Hovhannisyan played successfully in the chess tournament underway in the Unites Arab Emirates. Our 24-year-old chess player scored 3 points after 3 rounds and is now sharing the 1-4th places. First he defeated Azerbaijani Vugar Asadli, then his compatriot Hovik Hayrapetyan and in the last round he defeated Indian chess player Mishra Svayams. Our other chess players also showed not a bad start. Grandmasters Hovhannes Gabuzyan and Arman Pashikyan lost only 0.5 point in the first three rounds.
